    The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) is updating its 1993 dental infection control guidelines for release in early 2003. OSAP's day-long program on Thursday brings attendees right to the source, offering a comprehensive look at the new recommendations as presented by their authors.
    On Friday, OSAP 2002-03 chairman Carey Lyons (Sultan Chemists) and OSAP Foundation chairman Don Marianos, DDS, MPH (former director, CDC Division of Oral Health) will open the plenary session. The educational day will begin with experts from dental practice, public health, education, and manufacturing presenting a rapid-fire, bottom-line update of clinical, legal, institutional, and manufacturing issues in dental infection control and safety today.
