Las neoplasias neuroendócrinas de colon, denominadas carcinoides las de comportamiento menos agresivo y carcinomas las malignas, son raras, de lento crecimiento, y provienen de las células enterocromafines diseminadas a lo largo del tracto gastrointestinal
