Nefropatía crónica

Una nueva definición y clasificación de la nefropatía crónica surgió en 2002 y se modificó en 2012, basada sobre pruebas de laboratorio. Se fundamentó en que identificar tempranamente la nefropatía crónica demoraría la progresión hacia la insuficiencia renal y podría prevenir las enfermedades asociadas.
