Los procedimientos dentales invasivos causan bacteriemia, que se puede complicar con endocarditis infecciosa en los pacientes de alto riesgo. Es necesario advertir a los enfermos que serán sometidos a intervenciones dentales importantes sobre el riesgo de endocarditis infecciosa
