La incontinencia urinaria, constituye uno de "LOS GIGANTES DE LA GERIATRIA" constituye una gran limitación para la vida social de los pacientes, igual impacto en su psiquis.
Es muy interesante en pacientes deprimidas, utilizar la duloxetina como antidepresivo, pues relaja el músculo detrusos mejorando la incontinencia de orina.Un consejo: recomendar que una vez que sientan el deseo vayan rápidamente a orinar y otra cosa que sugiero es ir al baño cada tres horas aún no teniendo deseo de orinar.He obtenido buenos resultados en pacientes no dementes o con leves fallas cognitivas.
